Steel Lintel Reconditioning & Replacement

In older brick homes and masonry buildings, steel lintels—the support structures above windows and doors—can rust and swell over time. This process, known as rust jacking, exerts extremely expansive force upwards and downwards, creating structural cracks and heaving in the adjoining masonry.

If not serviced, the deteriorating lintel will no longer support the brick or stone above and could compromise the wall's structural integrity. Replacing steel lintels is a potentially hazardous job that requires an experienced contractor.
